The Urban Health Collaborative’s Operation Hunger program intends to combat food insecurity and food deserts in New Brunswick and Middlesex County by providing a culturally competent food pantry tailored to the backgrounds of our clients in need. The Urban Health Collaborative aims to gather information from the community regarding their eating practices, where they buy their food, and what cultural foods are important to them so that we can better understand their needs and provide food resources that match their requests. We want to build a food pantry program that is created by and tailored for the local community.
